Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Cleansing Facial Wipes Review

image

I received these cleansing facial wipes in my July 2015 PopSugar Must Have Box.  Sugg. retail is $5.99 for 1 pack of 25 wipes.

I previously sampled and reviewed the blueberries cleanser from this same brand… and I did not care for it.  I gave it only 1 paw. These facial wipes however,… I love!!

Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh facial towelettes do a great job at gently cleansing, moisturizing and removing make-up at the same time!  It removes my blackest black eye liner and mascara with ease!  I really love the scent, not at all over-bearing… fresh and slightly fruity… because it’s formulated with blueberries, coconut, lemon peel and apple.

Free of parabens, phthalates and dyes, 99% natural and biodegradable… I will definitely be buying these again!  I am so crazy for facial cleansing wipes because they’re SO much more efficient than liquid cleansers and do a better job in my opinion!! Who doesn’t want maximum results with minimal effort?!

I give this product 4 paws!

Retail $4.49  (This toothpaste is peroxide and preservative-free, packaged in a recyclable carton and made in the USA… Good for our mouths and the earth!  I’m always wanting whiter teeth (damn wine LOL), so I’ll test this out and let you know if my smile got brighter!)
  6. Goodie Girl Cookies Toffee Chaos, Sugg. Retail $4.99  (Made with kosher dairy and sans peanuts, these are low in fat, sugar and calories.  Not bad tasting,… but not my fave… so I’ll be sharing these!!)
  7. LOLA Gift Card, Sugg. Retail $10  (I’ve never heard of this company …but I’m pretty excited that I’m getting introduced to them now.  LOLA offers a subscription service of 100% cotton tampons… no synthetic ingredients or harsh chemicals!  With all the scary stories in the news lately related to the dangers of tampons… I’m excited to try these.)

$151 approximate Total value!  Great value, but I wasn’t crazy about the 3 most valuable items in the box.  I pay $39.95 per month, which includes free shipping. Review of Tarpon Springs Castle Winery & Groupon

I was super excited when I purchased this $39 special on Groupon for the Tarpon Springs Castle Winery… that is,… until I called the winery confirming the hours of operation and inquiring about the scheduling of my tasting!!  YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!!

The first time I called, a woman answered… only after several seconds of fumbling the phone… and did not have a business greeting… just a simple “hello”.  This is how the convo continued:

  • ME:  “Hello, I purchased a Groupon for the wine & chocolate tasting for two and I wanted to use the Groupon this Saturday, …I see you are open until 6pm… how long is the tour?”
  • RUDE WINERY LADY:  “Oh my gosh ma’am, (…gasp!…) you can’t just show up when you’re using a Groupon,… you have to have an appointment!  You’ll have to call back Wednesday so I can pencil you in.”
  • ME:  “uh, okay… thank you.”

I was SO caught off guard by this woman’s rude attitude towards me… that I had no other words, but to say in my most confused voice… “okay,… thank you”!  I stewed over this conversation for the next 5 minutes… replaying it in my mind in disbelief… as I got angrier and more frustrated over her lack of phone etiquette to a potential customer.  So I called back… and this is how that convo went:

  • RUDE WINERY LADY:  “Yeah.”   …(No greeting… just “yeah”… seriously?!?!)
  • ME:  “Yes, I just spoke to you about visiting the winery this Saturday and you said I had to call back Wednesday so that you could pencil me in… and I’m just wondering why I can’t schedule an appointment now.”
  • RUDE WINERY LADY:  “Because I’m not at the winery ma’am, we aren’t open right now!!!”  …(in almost a shouting tone!!)
  • ME:  “I work in customer service and you are being extremely rude… so rude in fact that I don’t even want to come to your winery & I’m going to contact Groupon for a refund!”
  • RUDE WINERY LADY:  “I’m normally not this rude.”  …(NO apology or remorse of how she treated me,…what-so-ever!)
  • ME:  “Well you’re extremely rude right now!” … and I hung up her!!

Was this lady for real?!?  I later discovered that they aren’t open on Monday… the day I called… but why answer your phone then?!?  I immediately told all my co-workers, friends and family this story because frankly… it took me a while to get over it!… plus I wanted to be sure no one gave this winery any business!  In using Groupon, companies are essentially paying a fee for new customers and business… WHY THE HELL would an employee be SO rude to a brand new potential customer… especially one that loves wine so much and could have given you A LOT of business!?!  Their loss.

I immediately emailed Groupon to notify them of this horrible experience and to request a credit for the full amount of this Groupon I no longer had a desire to use.  Groupon customer service responded to my email with sincerity and credited my account for the full amount within 4 hours!!

I give the Tarpon Springs Castle Winery NO paws.

I give Groupon 4 paws!!  They are a Meowvalous company!

Here is the Groupon you should NOT purchase:

  1. Tilo Heart Print Scarf, Sugg. Retail $125  (To me, the scarf is not worth $125… the website has no pricing and I personally have never seen a scarf that I would pay $125 for!  However it is adorable and soft!)
  2. BeautyCounter Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Sugg. Retail $50 (The most I’ve ever paid for a cleanser is $32, so I’m excited to try this $50 one and let you all know if it’s worth it!)
  3. JewelryStorm Endless Arrow Ring, Sugg. Retail $28  (This ring is adorable… I love arrows!… so this is one of my favorite items in the box.)

  6. Foodstirs Heart Cookie Mix, Sugg. Retail $12.95  (So perfect for the February box… I love to bake… and this adorable kit is free of artificial ingredients, GMOs and preservatives…and even included pink sprinkles & the adorable heart-shaped cookie cutter!)
  7. Victoria’s Secret Sport Socks, Sugg. Retail unknown  (This was a “special extra” in the box.  They are made with fabric that keeps your feet cool & dry… and I love the extra cushioned sole and arch support after wearing high heels all day!)
