Darby Smart To DIY For July 2015 Box Review

image

My 6th Darby Smart “To DIY For” monthly kit is the July 2015 project, which is “DIY Floral Chandelier” and included the following:

  • (7) Glass Vials
  • Brass Hoop
  • Microfiber Suede
  • Jute Cording
  • E6000 Glue
  • SPECIAL EXTRA!!  “Hey Girl” Ryan Gosling zipper pouch —haha, LOVE this!

I loved this months craft!!  I tied all the suede cords to the hoop, instead of gluing them like the instructions called for… because I thought it would be more secure that way and there was plenty of cord.  Otherwise, I followed the instructions step by step.  I did not use real flowers however, because of the maintenance and my lack of green thumb… for the flowers safety of course LOL.  I got this cluster of adorable flowers at Michael’s for only $5 and LOVE the result!

I pay just $19 per month, but there are 6 month and 12 month options available as well.  If you love to craft and create… I highly suggest you visit DarbySmart.com and shop and/or sign up!

I give this Darby Smart project 4 paws!

Darby Smart To DIY For June 2015 Box Review

image

My 5th Darby Smart “To DIY For” monthly kit is the June 2015 project, which is “DIY Marbled Candle Holders” and included the following:

  • Premo! Grey Granite Oven Bake Clay
  • Sculpey Black Oven Bake Clay
  • (2) Sculpey White Oven Bake Clay
  • (4) Tea Light Candle Molds
  • (4) Tea Light Soy Wicks
  • Soy Candle Wax
  • Fresh Blooming Candle Fragrance

(Disclaimer:  The photo above includes Mod Podge and a foam brush… which I put in the box in error.  I have so many Darby boxes to do right now… I’m getting the kit items all mixed up LOL!)

The How-To instructions for this project were easy to follow and simple to carry out.  I always like to put my own creative spin on the projects… so instead of making 4 mini votives… I made one large heart, which I now have 4 tea light candles for!

I am SO loving how it turned out… and couldn’t be happier with the results!  As for the floral fragrance… OMG… the best smelling candle scent!!  This DIY project was fun and absolutely worth the cost.

I pay just $19 per month, but there are 6 month and 12 month options available as well.  If you love to craft and create… I highly suggest you visit DarbySmart.com and shop and/or sign up!

Joss & Main curates flash sales that showcase specific design styles, seasons and trends for it’s members.  It’s free to join and have access to up to 70% off retail on housewares, furniture, decor, giftables, jewelry and more!  I bought this purchase via the Joss & Main app on my cell phone.  It was such an easy shopping experience and transaction!! Because I ordered items from multiple sales, …I received multiple packages.  Both packages shipped on time, arrived early and were packaged to perfection!  These are the must-have items I just couldn’t pass up!…

  • Owl Studs,  $19.95  (I just love owls!!)
  • Double-Sided Studs in Purple Marble,  $21.95  (Also referred to as 360 studs… I love this new trend & had a hard time finding unique ones like these… at this low price!)
  • Double-Sided Studs in Pave & Turquoise,  $20.95  (I love these in this gorgeous turquoise… what a hot find!!)
  • Set of 4 “The dog is Home” Stemless Wine Glasses,  $30.95  (These are just the cutest… etched with “It’s not really drinking alone if… the dog is home” LOL.  I love these!!… since I spend many nights watching TV on the couch with a glass of wine, cuddled next to my rotty, Bubba.  So one is for me, and I’m going to re-gift the others to 3 lucky people!  With a mini wine bottle and a dark chocolate treat inside …A perfect gift for the many wine loving dog owners I know LOL!)

Shipping is a flat rate of $9.95 and then you get free shipping for the next 30 days.  I paid $103.75 total for the above items, including the shipping.

I give the Joss & Main shopping experience, website and App 4 paws!
